The last week of every month is bring a friend week so if you’re a teen or adult, feel free to bring your friends this week to train for free!
It’s a great way to spend time together and to see what classes they might be interested in.

Find the center of the belt and place it on your belly, wrap both ends tightly around your waist twice (or once for longer belts) so the ends meet in front. Cross the right end over the left, tuck it up under both layers and pull tight, then make a simple square knot — left over right, then right over left — and cinch until snug.

When your opponent launches a switch kick, time their forward momentum by pivoting and exploding into a jumping back kick straight into their midsection. The surprise and power of the spin not only shuts down their attack but can flip the fight’s momentum in your favor.
The jumping back kick is a useful counter strike with origins from traditional martial arts such as taekwondo and karate. When used properly it can be an effective tool to add to the tool bag of a well rounded striker.
